Editorial Policy

Last updated: July 26, 2026

This policy describes the editorial standards SuperCooking uses when commissioning, writing, reviewing, and updating food content.

Accuracy and usefulness

Articles should answer a clear reader need, use specific instructions, distinguish fact from opinion, and avoid unsupported guarantees. Ingredient amounts, temperatures, timing, substitutions, storage instructions, and allergen considerations should be stated as clearly as the subject allows.

Recipe and technique claims

We do not label a recipe as tested unless it has been prepared and evaluated. When content is based on research rather than kitchen testing, it should not imply first-hand experience. Results can vary with equipment, ingredients, elevation, climate, and technique.

Sources

For food safety, nutrition, health, scientific, or historical claims, we prefer primary sources and recognized authorities. Sources should be linked near the relevant claim when practical. We avoid presenting promotional material as independent evidence.

Global food coverage

Food traditions deserve context and accurate naming. We aim to avoid treating one regional version as the only authentic version and to credit the communities, cooks, and sources that inform a dish.

Corrections and updates

Material errors should be corrected promptly. Substantial changes may include an update note. Minor spelling, formatting, or clarity edits may be made without a separate notice. Correction requests can be sent to [email protected] with the article URL and supporting information.

Commercial independence

Sponsors and affiliate partners do not receive control over independent editorial conclusions. Paid material must be labeled, and material relationships connected to recommendations must be disclosed clearly.
