Where to Write
There are two addresses. Both are read on working days, and choosing the right one is the fastest way to get an answer.
[email protected]
The editorial mailbox. Send anything about what we publish: a recipe that did not work, a flavor pairing you disagree with, a substitution question, an ingredient we named incorrectly, or a regional dish you think we have described wrongly. If you grew up with the dish, say so, because that changes how we weigh the correction.
The same address handles requests to reuse our text or photographs, and advertising, licensing and partnership enquiries. Commercial mail is dealt with by the commercial side and never influences editorial decisions.
[email protected]
Everything to do with your personal data goes here: requests to see, correct or delete it, objections to processing, withdrawal of consent, and requests to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information under California law. What we hold and why is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Turnaround
Ordinary messages get a reply within three working days. Corrections are handled first: we aim to acknowledge a reported error within one working day, and then verify it before anything on the page changes.
Privacy requests are answered within the deadlines that apply to you, which is one month for readers in Europe and the United Kingdom and forty-five days in California. If we need an extension for a complex request, we will say so before the original deadline passes, not afterwards.
What to Put in the Message
For a recipe problem, tell us the page, the step where it went wrong, what equipment you used and what you substituted. Heat level, pan material and the specific brand or variety of a chili, cheese or fish account for most of the differences people write in about.
For a correction, quote what the page says now and tell us what it should say. A source is welcome but not required. For a data request, name the right you are exercising so it goes to the right place immediately.
Outside Our Scope
We cannot say whether a recipe is safe for a particular allergy, medical condition or diet, and we do not give individual nutritional advice. Those questions need a professional who knows your situation. The limits are set out in the Disclaimer.
We do not run guest posts and do not accept unsolicited finished articles.
